Between August 1 and 26, Ukraine exported 1.423 million tonnes of grain, oilseeds, and processed agricultural products. Railways and the Danube corridor accounted for more than 80% of shipments as Black Sea port disruptions continued.
The National Bank of Ukraine has temporarily extended the foreign currency settlement period for exports of grains, oilseeds, vegetable oils, and related processed products from 120 to 150 days, helping agricultural exporters cope with prolonged logistics disruptions.
From September 1, 2026, Maersk will introduce new intermodal container transport tariffs between Ukrainian terminals and the Port of Gdańsk (DCT).

After a month of blocked access to the Greater Odesa ports, Ukraine is seeking to expand agricultural exports through Poland. Experts believe transit volumes can be significantly increased, but even the maximum capacity of western routes cannot fully replace Black Sea logistics.
Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy plans to lower the land-area threshold this autumn for obtaining critical enterprise status, allowing significantly more small and medium-sized farms to reserve key employees.
