Feed corn prices in Ukraine continue to decline. Over the past week, purchase prices have fallen by another UAH 100–300 per ton and currently range between UAH 9,600 and 11,000 per ton depending on the region and delivery conditions. The main factors weighing on the market remain weaker export activity and the gradual completion of the current marketing year.
Traditionally, shipment volumes slow down toward the end of the season, while traders become more cautious in their procurement strategies. Some buyers are postponing purchases in anticipation of further price declines. At the same time, corn supply from farmers is gradually increasing, although many producers continue to hold stocks in hopes of securing better prices later.
Despite the recent decline, corn exports remain relatively strong. Since the beginning of June, Ukraine has exported more than 624,000 tons of corn. Italy, Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Egypt continue to be among the largest buyers of Ukrainian grain, providing stable demand for exports.
Analysts note that future price movements will largely depend on harvest expectations, weather conditions in major producing countries, and developments on global grain exchanges. If crop prospects remain favorable, the market could experience further downward correction. However, stronger export demand or weather-related production risks could support prices at the start of the new marketing season.
