210 Hectares of Farmland Cleared in July

In July 2026, operators participating in Ukraine's State Humanitarian Demining Program cleared 210 hectares of agricultural land of explosive hazards. The work was completed under two contracts, with demining operators receiving UAH 13.2 million for the completed tasks. The average cost of clearing one hectare reached UAH 62,900.

The program continues to expand. Demining operations are currently underway under 43 active contracts, covering approximately 11,700 hectares of farmland. In total, 100 contracts have already been completed, returning 16,410 hectares of agricultural land to productive use. The cumulative value of completed work has exceeded UAH 966 million.

During July, the Humanitarian Demining Center signed 14 additional contracts covering more than 1,400 hectares of farmland, with an estimated value of approximately UAH 170 million. The program is financed under the Ukraine Facility Plan with support from the European Union.

Humanitarian demining remains a critical component of Ukraine's agricultural recovery. Returning contaminated farmland to safe use enables farmers to restore production, expand cultivated areas, and strengthen the country's food security, particularly in regions most affected by the war.
