Another price increase has taken place on Ukraine’s mineral fertilizer market. From September 23, 2026, OSTCHEM is increasing list prices for ammonium nitrate and urea-ammonium nitrate (UAN) by UAH 500/t. The company announced the new prices on September 18. However, the actual cost for farmers will depend on purchase volumes, delivery terms and logistics.
Before the price revision, UAN N32 produced by OSTCHEM was offered at around UAH 25,500/t, including delivery of up to 400 km to central and western regions. Ammonium nitrate produced by Cherkasy Azot was priced at approximately UAH 26,000/t wholesale and UAH 26,400/t retail. Rivneazot ammonium nitrate was offered at around UAH 26,350/t, including delivery to the buyer’s railway station.
If the announced UAH 500/t increase is applied to these levels, UAN could rise to around UAH 26,000/t, while ammonium nitrate could reach approximately UAH 26,500–26,900/t, depending on delivery terms and order size. These figures are indicative rather than fixed market-wide prices. Offers from other producers and traders may differ, with current market monitoring showing UAN N32 starting at around UAH 25,000/t and some ammonium nitrate offers already exceeding UAH 26,000/t.
For agricultural producers, higher nitrogen fertilizer prices mean additional pressure on production costs. Ammonium nitrate and UAN are widely used in crop nutrition systems, particularly for grain crops, so even a relatively small price increase can translate into substantial additional costs when large volumes are purchased. Further market dynamics will depend on energy and feedstock prices, imports, exchange rates and farmers’ demand ahead of the next agricultural season.
