Ukraine's rapeseed market remains under pressure, but after several weeks of sharp declines, the pace of price reductions has begun to slow. Market analysts report that the intensity of the decline has eased, with some participants already observing early signs of price stabilization.
Weak demand continues to be the main factor weighing on the market. Processing plants have already accumulated sufficient raw material stocks, significantly reducing their purchasing activity. Indicative processor bids have fallen to UAH 19,000–20,000 per tonne CPT plant, while actual purchase prices generally remain within UAH 21,000–22,500 per tonne. Exporters are also limiting purchases because of restricted maritime export opportunities.
Logistical challenges continue to add pressure. High transportation costs make it difficult for producers—particularly those in southern and central Ukraine—to redirect supplies through the western border. Purchase prices there are currently around $540–560 per tonne DAP, while indicative prices at Ukrainian ports remain at $470–490 per tonne CPT port, reflecting subdued trading activity.
Analysts expect the market to remain highly dependent on developments in export logistics and European demand. If maritime shipments gradually resume and buying activity improves, rapeseed prices could stabilize. Until then, the market is likely to remain under pressure, although the recent slowdown suggests that the sharp phase of the decline may be nearing its end.
