The National Bank of Ukraine has temporarily extended the foreign currency settlement period for selected agricultural exports from 120 to 150 days. The new rules entered into force on 26 August 2026 and apply to export transactions carried out between 1 July 2026 and 31 August 2027.

The measure covers exports of wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn, soybeans, rapeseed, sunflower seed, vegetable oils, and processed oilseed products. The decision was adopted following consultations with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and on the recommendation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The extension responds to worsening export conditions caused by intensified Russian attacks on port infrastructure and civilian vessels. As cargo flows shifted to alternative routes, transportation times increased significantly, making the previous 120-day settlement period insufficient for many export operations.

According to the NBU, the temporary extension to 150 days will help agricultural exporters comply with foreign exchange regulations, ensure smoother execution of export contracts, and preserve the export capacity of Ukraine's agricultural sector while maintaining macro-financial stability.
