A new grant program has been launched in Ukraine to help farmers digitalize their John Deere machinery and introduce precision farming technologies. The initiative, developed by Agrosem, offers preferential conditions for connecting equipment to the John Deere Operations Center digital ecosystem. The program is primarily aimed at micro, small, and medium-sized farms.
The program includes two main support packages: connecting machinery to the John Deere digital ecosystem and implementing basic production automation. The first package covers installation of MTG telematics equipment, system configuration, and staff training. These tools enable remote machine monitoring, operational data analysis, and more efficient planning of field activities.
A separate automation package priced at €1,250 is tailored to different farm sizes. Farms with up to 500 hectares receive a full range of services, including field mapping, software configuration, and staff training. Farms managing 500–3,000 hectares receive the same package without field mapping, while larger agricultural enterprises receive software licensing and basic user training.
According to industry experts, digital technologies help improve machinery utilization, optimize fuel consumption, monitor field operations, and strengthen overall farm management. Programs such as this can accelerate the adoption of precision agriculture technologies and make digital solutions more accessible to small and medium-sized agricultural producers.
