Allseeds Group, one of Ukraine's largest producers and exporters of vegetable oils and oilseed meals, has announced the temporary suspension of its operations in the Odesa region. The decision follows a sharp deterioration in the security situation caused by intensified Russian missile and drone attacks on the region's port and logistics infrastructure.
According to the company, continuing operations under the current conditions would expose employees, production facilities, and infrastructure to unacceptable risks. The suspension is intended to protect personnel while preserving production assets and operational capacity, allowing the company to resume activities quickly once the security situation improves. The process will be carried out in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
The move highlights the growing impact of attacks on Ukraine's port infrastructure and agricultural exports. Allseeds operates an oil extraction plant and its own vegetable oil terminal at the Port of Pivdennyi, making uninterrupted maritime logistics essential for its business. Recent attacks have also contributed to a decline in foreign vessel calls at Ukrainian ports and rising logistics costs.
The company emphasized that the suspension is temporary and expressed its intention to resume operations as soon as security conditions permit. Market observers note that developments in the Black Sea ports will remain one of the key factors influencing Ukraine's vegetable oil industry and agricultural export logistics in the coming months.
